It started with a Subaru BRZ.
I'm Rishi. I started detailing at 17, in Year 12. I was working at a burger shop at the time, but after buying my Subaru BRZ and cleaning it meticulously, something clicked, I realised I'd rather work for myself, doing something I actually loved.
So I did. I quit the job, bought all my own equipment, and ran Crystal Clear right through Year 12. I've always been obsessed with cars, it's why I'm now studying mechanical engineering, and detailing lets me be around them every day.
Honestly, half the reason I love this is the people. I love meeting new clients, seeing cool cars, and building relationships. Earning a living matters, but the real goal is connection, learning the industry, learning how to run a business, and looking after cars I'm genuinely excited about. And cleaning cars? Deeply satisfying, and a lot of fun.
